Joan Laporta secured a convincing victory in the presidential election of FC Barcelona, earning a third mandate that will keep him at the helm of the Catalan club until 2031.

With more than 68% of the votes, Laporta comfortably defeated Victor Font and celebrated the result with supporters after Barcelona’s 5-2 win over Sevilla. The re-elected president thanked the members for their trust and praised the club’s democratic system. “This wonderful club still allows its members to elect the president, something unique in the world,” he said during his victory speech.
Laporta used the occasion to outline ambitious plans for the coming years, focusing on strengthening the squad, completing the renovation of the Camp Nou and continuing the economic recovery of the club.
Confident about the future, he promised that the project would make Barcelona even more competitive on the European stage. “This result gives us immense strength and makes us unstoppable,” he declared, adding that the priority remains to build a stronger team while continuing to develop young talents from La Masia.
