Bukayo Saka has won with the England Men's Player of the Year award for a second year in a row following his impressive performances for the Three Lions
Jude Bellingham has sent a one-word message to Bukayo Saka after the Arsenal star won the England Men's Player of the Year award for a second consecutive season. The 22-year-old has scored 11 goals in 28 appearances for England so far and enjoyed a strong World Cup campaign before the Three Lions were dumped out of the competition against France.
Tottenham star James Maddison presented Saka with the award on his birthday during the international break. England are preparing to face Ukraine and Scotland before the return of Premier League action next week.
Gareth Southgate could be set to leave his role with the Three Lions following the European Championships next summer. Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has been touted as a potential successor - but it remains to be seen whether he would leave the Etihad Stadium.
Saka and his England teammates will be hoping to finally get their hands on some silverware after finishing as European Championship runners-up back in 2021. The Arsenal star missed a penalty during the shoot-out against Italy, but the Hale Ender has gone from strength-to-strength since then and become one of the best wingers in the Premier League - and in Europe.
Saka's England teammate Jude Bellingham has now sent a brilliant one-word message to the 22-year-old. The Real Madrid superstar responded to Saka winning the Player of the Year award, writing: "*star emoji*."
Bellingham's comment referred to Saka being labelled as Arsenal's 'starboy' by supporters. It's not the first time the Real Madrid midfielder has sent messages of support to his England teammates, including Arsenal summer signing Declan Rice.
