Cristiano Ronaldo got his 2020 up and running with a hat-trick as Ragnar Klavan's error helped gift Juventus a 4-0 win over Cagliari, sending the champions back above Inter at the Serie A summit.
Despite a dominant first-half display, Juve - who were defeated by Lazio in the Supercoppa Italiana in their final match of 2019 - were unable to find a way through before Klavan's calamity.
But once presented with a clear chance, Ronaldo made no mistake, keeping his composure to beat Robin Olsen, who was beaten again by the former Real Madrid star from the spot in the 67th minute.
Ronaldo's penalty came after Giovanni Simeone almost snatched an equaliser against the run of play, but a strike from substitute Gonzalo Higuain and a composed third from Ronaldo comfortably ensured Juve made it 30 consecutive home league matches without defeat.
Yet Cagliari's run ran out four minutes after the restart - Ronaldo latching onto Klavan's dreadful pass before coolly rounding Olsen and drilling home.

Cagliari can't clear their lines properly after Cuadrado puts a deep cross into the box and Klavan heads it as far as Alex Sandro on the edge of the box. He has a first-time shot, but it's a wild effort that sails high over the crossbar.
30' Ronaldo's header stopped by Olsen
Juventus have a free-kick on the left and it's Dybala that lifts the ball into the box. He's looking for Ronaldo in the middle and he dives forward to get his head on it. Olsen is off his line but gets a strong hand to it to tip it over, but the flag goes up so it wouldn't have counted anyway.

It's a really poor pass from Klavan to Walukiewicz and Ronaldo reacts quickly to intercept it. He takes the ball around the goalkeeper to the right of the box and fires his shot back into the far side of the net.
51' Olsen makes brilliant double-save
The home side are on the attack again as Alex Sandro cuts the ball back to Dybala from the byline on the left of the box. The Argentinian hits the shot first time and Olsen gets down well to make the save. It rebounds off Klavan but the keeper scrambles across to push it away before Ramsey can take advantage.
60' CLOSE! Simeone hits the beam
It's Cagliari's first attack of the second half and Nandez whips a great cross into the box from the right. He picks out Simeone at the far post and he heads it towards the top left corner but it bounces back off the crossbar.
63' CLOSE! Dybala's free kick stopped by Olsen
Dybala was brought down by Rog on the edge of the box and he steps up to take the free-kick. He curls his effort over the wall and towards the near post, but Olsen gets two hands to it to push it away.
67' Penalty Goal! Juventus 2-0 Cagliari (Ronaldo)
Dybala weaves his way into the box, past three Cagliari defenders, and is eventually brought down by Rog and there's no hesitation from the referee as he goes across and points to the spot. It's a confident run up from the edge of the box from Ronaldo and he sends Olsen the wrong way as he sidefoots his spot-kick into the bottom right corner. 2-0 Juventus!

He has no one with him in support when he gets the ball on the left of the box and he cuts inside to get past Klavan and drills his shot into the bottom corner. 3-0 Juventus!
82' GOAL! Juventus 4-0 Cagliari (Ronaldo)
Nobody is picking him up on the left of the box when he gets the ball. He has time to take a touch before hitting his shot under Olsen's legs and into the back of the net.
