The Italian champions face the champions of Germany, and with the Bavarians taking a stronger squad to the USA we are backing them for the win
Having made the most eye-catching signing of the summer in securing the services of Cristiano Ronaldo, Juventus begin their pre-season against Bayern Munich.
However, the 33-year-old will not be involved as he has not travelled to North America with his new team-mates.
The former Real Madrid man has fond memories of facing Bayern so his absence is a positive for the Germans, who have already claimed one victory in the International Champions Cup.
Niko Kovac's men defeated Paris Saint-Germain 3-1 at the weekend and will be aiming for another victory when they face Juve in Philadelphia.
William Hill make the Bundesliga champions the favourites at 5/4 (2.25) while their Italian counterparts are priced at 8/5 (2.60). The draw meanwhile can be backed at 27/10 (3.70).
Along with Ronaldo, the likes of Paulo Dybala, Gonzalo Higuain, Douglas Costa, Juan Cuadrado, Mario Mandzukic, Marko Pjaca and Blaise Matuidi are all missing for Max Allegri.
Bayern have brought a similarly low-key squad to the United States, missing all eight German internationals as well as Robert Lewandowski, Thiago Alcantara and the injured Arturo Vidal.
We can therefore expect the two respective managers to field relatively experimental line-ups, although Bayern's starting eleven is likely to be stronger.
Certainly the German champions' starting team against PSG was considerably more experienced, and with Juventus missing practically all of their first choice forward players Bayern should be able to take the initiative.
The fact that Bayern have already played a game this summer should help them too, with the players perhaps having a little more rhythm and fitness than their opponents in Philadelphia.
The smart money therefore should be going on a Bayern Munich win, while also worthy of consideration is backing them to win with over 2.5 goals in the game at 11/5 (3.20).
