N'Golo Kante and Edouard Mendy are on course to be fit for Chelsea's Champions League final clash with Manchester City, claims Blues boss Thomas Tuchel.
Both Chelsea stars have limped out of recent Premier League matches, with Kante picking up a minor hamstring issue against Leicester while goalkeeper Mendy came off at half-time against Aston Villa on Sunday with a rib problem.
The Chelsea pair have been vital in the west Londoners' journey to the European showpiece event, with Tuchel providing positive injury news about his key men.
Speaking about Kante in a pre-final press conference, Tuchel said: 'He looks good and I hope he stays like that.
'We will just put him in training when the game starts on Saturday and not speak to doctors and physios or changing tactics. Sounds good to me.'
Tuchel then revealed goalkeeper Mendy, who was replaced by Kepa Arrizabalaga at last weekend, is set to be back in Chelsea training on Wednesday.
The German boss added: 'The update is we still have hope he joins training on Wednesday and the group.
'He made huge improvement with the management of pain. So we need a further update on Wednesday but we hope to have him back.'
Chelsea are aiming to lift a second Champions League title in the club's history in Lisbon this weekend, after winning the same competition back in 2012.
They will face a difficult challenge in Pep Guardiola's side, however, who strolled to the Premier League title earlier this season - though this is City's first ever appearance in a European final.
Tuchel's side will be boosted by some good recent history against City this season, with the Blues beating their rivals in both the FA Cup semi-final win in April and the league clash at the Etihad Stadium earlier this month.
