Paris FC are closing in on the signing of Kevin Trapp (35), with the German goalkeeper in the French capital on Tuesday to undergo his medical ahead of a move from Eintracht Frankfurt – according to a report from L’Équipe.
Trapp previously played for Paris Saint-Germain between 2015 and 2019 and is is set to sign a three-year contract with the Ligue 1 side, keeping him at the club until 2028. The Germany international (9 caps) arrived in Paris this afternoon alongside his representatives before heading directly to his medical tests.
Paris FC have been looking for an experienced goalkeeper this summer to strengthen their squad following promotion to Ligue 1. Trapp is expected to provide leadership and competition for Obed Nkambadio, who started between the posts during the club’s opening-day 1-0 defeat against Angers SCO.
After 289 appearances for Frankfurt across two spells, including a Europa League triumph in 2022, Trapp is now set for a return to France – but this time with PSG’s neighbours.GFFN | George Boxall
