Bayern had 17 players participating in this FIFA World Cup, but only Kim Min-jae's South Korea was eliminated in the group stage.

Korean media reported on the 28th, citing British media: "Except for Kim Min-jae, all Bayern players advanced to the FIFA World Cup knockout stage." While his club teammates advanced to the knockout rounds with their respective teams, Kim Min-jae was the only Bayern player eliminated in the group stage. This means Kim Min-jae was the first Bayern World Cup player to begin early preparations for the 2024-25 season.

Most of these players helped their respective national teams advance to the Round of 32. Germany won 2 matches and lost 1, accumulating 6 points and advancing as Group E winners; they will face Paraguay in the Round of 32. Kane also performed strongly, scoring 3 goals in 3 group stage matches and leading England to the top of Group L. For France, Upamecano and Olise also made important contributions. Upamecano played in all 3 group stage matches, taking on defensive responsibilities, while Olise came off the bench to provide 3 assists, helping France win all three matches.

Japan's Hiroki Ito also played all 3 group stage matches. Japan finished second in Group F with 1 win and 2 draws and will face Brazil in the Round of 32. While Bayern's international players advanced to the knockout stage one by one, Kim Min-jae's tournament came to an end in the group stage.

South Korea, led by coach Hong Myung-bo, finished third in Group A with 1 win and 2 losses. South Korea made a strong start, securing a 2-1 comeback victory over the Czech Republic in their opening match and raising hopes of advancing to the Round of 32. However, in their second match against host Mexico, South Korea lost 0-1 and failed to maintain their momentum.

In the final group match against South Africa, South Korea needed only a draw to advance to the Round of 32 as the group runner-up. However, South Korea suffered another 0-1 defeat in a tightly contested match, missing the chance to qualify directly. South Korea then had to wait and hope to finish among the eight best third-placed teams. However, following unfavorable results in other groups, South Korea was ultimately eliminated.
