Barcelona have put Vincent Kompany and Branislav Ivanovic on a shortlist of centre halves to solve their defensive problems, according to Mirror.
That is according to reports in Spain as the Catalan club try to look for an experienced defender to sign on loan in January.
Manchester City are almost certain to rebuff an approach for Belgium stopper Kompany but they may be more hopeful on ex-Chelsea defender Ivanovic who is now at Zenit St Petersburg.
Barcelona are reported to have also looked at David Luiz but are not pursuing the Chelsea defender as they try to solve the crisis brought on by Samuel Umtiti needing knee surgery.
Chelsea have also rejected the notion that out-of-favor defender Andreas Christensen could leave in the next window.
