France defeated Norway 4-1 in the final match of the FIFA World Cup group stage, advancing to the knockout round with three consecutive wins and 9 points. Following the match, French defender Kounde spoke with beIN Sports.

Reporter: The positives are obviously the victory itself, and also the team's attacking efficiency. This French side always seems to find a way to score.
Kounde: Yes, absolutely. We knew this victory was crucial, and we really wanted to finish as group winners. We started well and managed to score some beautiful goals through quick transitions. We're well aware of our forwards' capabilities, and pace is one of our team's greatest strengths—we used it effectively today.
Reporter: Another positive is Dembele's goal where every French player touched the ball. Everyone was involved in the attack, and it feels like the team's overall play and passing are becoming smoother, with everything gradually coming together.
Kounde: Yes, I think as the tournament progresses and we play match after match, we are gradually finding our rhythm and chemistry.
It's a very good sign that everyone can contribute to the attack. I wasn't aware that everyone had touched the ball in that goal, but if that's the case, it's definitely very positive.
We're pleased for the whole team, and also delighted with Dembele's hat-trick.
Reporter: But there is a shortcoming. It seems the team's focus slipped at certain moments—after the water break and after halftime particularly. Is this a concentration issue you must address before the knockout stage?
Kounde: Yes, you're right.
That goal we conceded was very frustrating. We celebrated too long after our goal, which meant we weren't back in position when their attack came, and the opponent capitalized on it.
We certainly need to discuss these issues seriously and keep improving them as the tournament goes on. In the knockout stage, we absolutely cannot let this happen again.
Of course, I'm not taking anything away from their striker's quality; his finish was excellent. But with that goal, we made it too easy for him and gave him too much space.
