Father of Barcelona and Spain starlet Lamine Yamal has taken to social media and seems to have announced he is engaged to his partner who is 16 years his junior
Barcelona sensation Lamine Yamal's father appears to have announced his engagement to his partner who is 16 years younger than him. Yamal's side face Club Brugge in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Yamal has been nothing short of a phenom in La Liga since he burst out of Barcelona's La Masia ranks in 2023. He was runner-up for this year's Ballon d'Or and was key for Spain in their Euro 2024 triumph.
The 18-year-old is supported by his father Mounir Nasraoui, a Moroccan-born painter. Yamal's parents split when he was three years old but were both present throughout his childhood.
His father has now taken to social media and looks to have announced that he is engaged to his partner Khristina. The superstar's father is 39 and he appears set to marry the 23-year-old.
Nasraoui uploaded a post to his 1.3 million followers on Instagram, accompanied by a black heart emoji and an emoji of an engagement ring. The picture shows him and Khristina together on a balcony.
The pair have a 16-year age gap and some fans made their true feelings known on the post, with a slew of quite critical comments about their difference in ages.

It is unclear when the couple began dating, but there are plenty of pictures of them on social media. Some show them at a Barcelona game wearing matching shirts while others show them cooking meals together.
Yamal's father is no stranger to the limelight, having been very outspoken about how Barcelona and others have treated his son in the past.
He claimed that PSG's Ousmane Dembele winning the Ballon d'Or over Yamal was a "moral injustice" earlier this year. Nasraoui told El Chiringuito TV: "I think this is the biggest, I won't say theft, but moral damage done to a human being.
"I believe Lamine Yamal is the best player in the world by far, by a considerable margin. It's not because he's my son but because he's the best player in the world.
"I believe there are no rivals. Lamine is Lamine Yamal. Something extraordinary has happened here. Next year, there will be a Spanish Ballon d'Or winner."
Just this month, he added to this outburst by reportedly confronting club executives over how Yamal was supported for his Ballon d'Or tilt. Nasraoui allegedly tore into some of Barcelona's hierarchy, claiming that they valued Yamal's team-mate Raphinha over him in the running for the award.
He was also reportedly critical of how his son is generally treated and requested more recognition, as well as some special benefits and privileges for the 18-year-old forward.
Yamal's father helped negotiate a new deal for his prodigious son at the Camp Nou last year. It is reported that this contract is worth up to £230,000 per week and will run until 2030.
