Match Report

Atletico struggled to test their hosts, with Diego Simeone overseeing another frustrating display in the final third.
Nico Gonzalez saw a header tipped over just 90 seconds in, before Kareem Tunde drilled wide from a tight angle at the other end.
Gonzalez tried his luck again just before the break but sliced at the rebound of Johnny Cardoso's blocked shot, firing it into the side netting.
Karl Etta Eyong wasted a counter-attack on the hour by firing straight into Jan Oblak's gloves, while Mat Ryan was forced into action straight down the other end to deny the influential Gonzalez.
Julian Alvarez then dragged wide – although he was in an offside position anyway – and had a header acrobatically tipped over the bar, though Adrian de la Fuente came closest to winning it with a glancing effort, only for a stretching Oblak save to keep him out.

Data Debrief: Alvarez leads stuttering attack
It was a match that lacked clear-cut chances from both sides, with Atletico's attacking struggles rearing their head once more.
Alvarez has not scored in his last 11 LaLiga appearances, his worst streak in league play since his arrival in European football in the summer of 2022, surpassing his 10 games without scoring with Manchester City in the Premier League in 2024.
Atleti finished the game with just 0.9 expected goals (xG) from their 10 attempts, with four of those on target. Levante, meanwhile, created 0.37 xG from 10 shots.
Gonzalez led the charge for Diego Simeone's side, though, having a game-high four shots and seven touches in the opposition box, while also creating two chances.
