Ayyoub Bouaddi’s (18) international future may be settled later this month. The Lille OSC midfielder is being sold a bright future, having broken through at his formative club last season, at the age of just 16. Whilst he is currently representing France’s U21 side, Morocco are looking to call him up to their senior side, as reported by Foot Mercato. Bouaddi has now responded to the reports.

At just 18, he has already played eight games for France’s U21 side. However, the Morocco national team are now set to call him up for the March international break. Whether he responds favourably to the call-up is something else entirely.
Sources close to the federation have revealed that Bouaddi has given a verbal agreement to play for the Atlas Lions. That came after a positive meeting between the federation, Bouaddi, and his family this week. Speaking on Ligue 1 Plus, the midfielder revealed that he was yet to make his choice.
“Are we waiting for the squad list [for the international break] now? Morocco or France? There hasn’t been a choice yet but we will see,” he said.
