Alisson Becker's wife Natalia has given birth to a son, the Liverpool goalkeeper revealed on Monday.

The Brazilian, 28, was named man-of-the-match after keeping a clean sheet against Southampton on Saturday, as the Reds kept their top-four hopes alive with a 2-0 win at Anfield.

Now the couple - who wed in 2015 - have welcomed their third child following the birth of daughter Helena in 2017 and son Matteo in 2019.

Alisson announced the news to his seven million followers on Instagram, saying alongside a photo of his wife and new baby boy: 'Welcome my son!

'Now the warrior has his quiver full.'

The Brazilian has endured a difficult season on and off the pitch - his father died in February after he drowned in a lake near his holiday home in Lavras do Sul, Brazil.

This followed a number of mistakes on the pitch amid a turbulent period for the Reds, most notably two errors in the home defeat to Manchester City on February 7.

But he looks to be back to his best after a number of important saves on Saturday night as the Reds look to nick a Champions League place.

They are currently six points off fourth-placed Leicester City, with a game in hand on the Foxes.

The news comes on the same day that Alisson's team-mate Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain announced he is expecting his first child with long-term girlfriend and Little Mix star Perrie Edwards.
