According to Liverpool FC reporter for the Liverpool Echo, Liverpool have denied that Philippe Coutinho has handed in a transfer request.
Reports suggested that the Brazil international had taken steps to try to force a move to Barcelona after owners Fenway Sports Group declared he would be staying put during the current window.
However, the Reds are adamant that as it stands no transfer request has been submitted.
Liverpool rejected an improved offer of £90million from Barcelona for Coutinho this week and earlier today FSG released a statement ruling out any prospect of doing a deal with the Catalan giants.
