Liverpool are preparing for life without Mohamed sell and will target one of his Egyptian team-mates as a replacement, according to reports.

There remains uncertainty over Salah's future at Anfield, with the winger having one year left on his contract and talks over an extension yet to take place.

Strong interest from Saudi Arabia also remains after a £150m bid from Al-Ittihad was turned down on deadline day last summer.

Liverpool will head into a new chapter this summer once Jurgen Klopp departs and have also started their search for Salah's replacement according to Mundo Deportivo.

The Spanish outlet claim that the Reds have set their sights on a £52.2million move for Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush.

Marmoush has had a superb season for the Bundesliga outfit having joined them on. a free transfer last summer after leaving Wolfsburg.

The 25-year-old has scored 10 goals and provided six assists for Eintracht, who currently sit sixth in the table.

Marmoush played alongside Salah for Egypt, who were knocked out in the last 16 of AFCON earlier this year.

Salah's departure would come as a huge blow as he has made a tremendous impact since his move to Merseyside in 2017, scoring 207 goals in 337 appearances.

During that time he has won the Premier League, the Champions League, the FA Cup and two League Cups.

Salah will be determined to add further silverware this campaign, with Liverpool still in contention for glory in the Premier League, the FA Cup and the Europa League.

Klopp's side currently sit in second, behind leaders Arsenal on goal difference ahead of the visit of Brighton on Sunday
