Liverpool 'join Barcelona & Madrid in race for Ferran Torres transfer'

Liverpool are braced for a transfer battle over Valencia's Ferran Torres after Barcelona joined the race for his signature, according to Mirror.

Torres has also been attracting interest from Real Madrid, but Mundo Deportivo report that Torres is keen on a switch to the Camp Nou.

The 20-year-old has been impressing in La Liga and was among the nominees for the Golden Boy award last year, missing out on the award to Atletico Madrid's Joao Felix.

Although Valencia are hopeful Torres will commit his future to the club, the Spanish publication claims that Torres would be interested in a move to the Nou Camp if Barca came calling.

The winger is out of contract at the end of next season, meaning Valencia may have to cash in on his services now rather than eventually lose him for nothing.

Torres is already believed to have rejected two offers from Valencia to extend his current deal, with the youngster now increasingly likely to leave the Mestalla.

Barca previously expressed an interest in Torres a few years ago, and could land him on a cut-price deal.

His release clause is understood to be a whopping £87million, but Barca expect to pay less than half that.
