Liverpool are reportedly close to agreeing a deal to sign a new young keeper to replace Caoimhin Kelleher following the Irishman's departure to Brentford.
The Bees confirmed the signing of Kelleher from the Reds in a deal worth £18million on Wednesday.
The Republic of Ireland international replaced Mark Flekken, who has left for Bayer Leverkusen.
And Liverpool have wasted no time in filling the gap in the squad left by Kelleher.
Fabrizio Romano reports that they are closing in on a deal for 20-year-old Hungarian goalkeeper Armin Pecsi from Puskas Akademia.
The football journalist wrote on X: 'Liverpool set to agree deal to sign 20 year old goalkeeper Armin Pecsi from Puskas Akademia.
'Record sale for the Hungarian club as Pecsi said yes to Liverpool project, final details club to club and all done on player side. Here we go, soon.'
Pecsi is coming off the back of an impressive campaign in Hungary where he made 36 appearances in all competitions and conceded 43 goals.
Kelleher spent a decade on Merseyside, joining from Irish side Ringmahon Rangers, and played second fiddle to Alisson between the sticks for the majority of his time at the club.
He made 67 appearances for the Reds, keeping 24 clean sheets, during his six years in the senior set-up. However, with just one year left on his deal at Liverpool, he has opted to move on to become a No 1 goalkeeper.
West Ham, Leeds, and Bournemouth all showed interest in the Irishman, but Brentford made their move on Sunday night and agreed on a cut-price deal with the Liverpool hierarchy.
Kelleher has put pen to paper on a five-year deal in west London, and the club has the option to extend the contract by a further year to 2031.
'I'm buzzing, I'm really happy to be here,' Kelleher told the Brentford website. 'I don't think it was very difficult for me to leave [Liverpool].
'I felt for my own career that the time was right for me to go, to be a no.1 and to play every week.
'I heard of some interest a number of weeks ago. Once I knew Brentford was in for me, it was definitely one I was really excited about and wanted to do as quickly as possible.
'When I come back for pre-season, all focus will be on what I want to do next year; to work on certain goals and what I need to improve on, and to have a really good season for Brentford.'
