Liverpool youngster Morrison signs his first professional contract with the club

Liverpool youngster Kieran Morrison has been rewarded for his impressive progress after signing his first professional contract with the club.

The 17-year-old midfielder has put pen to paper a new deal having joined from Manchester United's under-14s.

Morrison started the season in centre midfield and was moved to the right wing where has has delivered a number of bright displays for Marc Bridge-Wilkinson's u-18 side.

He has scored 13 times and provided seven assists this term, which includes two goals in his most recent outing against Sunderland last weekend.

Morrison was among a number of youth players who trained with the first team during the last international break.

Born in Manchester, Morrison represents Northern Ireland at youth level.

He will hope to follow in the footsteps of compatriot Conor  Bradley who broke in the first team this season.

Bradley is one of a number of youngsters to have been handed minutes this season by Jurgen Klopp.

The 20-year-old made 22 appearances for the Reds in 2023-24 before suffering an ankle injury earlier this month.
