Atletico Madrid is on edge after confirming that Ademola Lookman suffered an adductor injury in the Copa del Rey Final defeat on penalties to Real Sociedad.

The Nigerian forward, who scored, was forced off in the 62nd minute. Following the muscle injury, Atletico Madrid’s medical staff has placed him on an individual recovery program.
Lookman is now training separately from the group to avoid aggravating his injury.
His absence is already confirmed for the upcoming La Liga matches against Elche and Athletic Bilbao, casting serious doubt on his availability for European competition.
This unavailability comes at the worst possible time for Diego Simeone, ahead of the first leg of the Champions League semifinal against Arsenal, scheduled for April 29 at the Riyadh Air Metropolitano.
Signed last January, Lookman has become a key player in the Madrid attack with 7 goals in 18 matches.
