Enrique has confidence in PSG's back-up brigade amid Vitinha injury concerns

Luis Enrique is confident Paris Saint-Germain's back-up players will step up and be counted when required as his team look to triumph on multiple fronts.

PSG are into the Champions League semi-finals, with Bayern Munich coming up.

However, first off they will face Nantes and then Angers in Ligue 1. With a game in hand, PSG are just a point ahead of Lens in a tight title race.

Yet Luis Enrique is having to contend with the potential absence of one of his star players, with midfielder Vitinha having sustained a foot injury in Sunday's defeat to Lyon.

Vitinha is expected to miss PSG's next two matches, and could well face a race against time to be fit enough to feature against Bayern.

"There are still two very important league matches left [before the semi-final]," said Luis Enrique when asked about Vitinha's chances of playing against the Bundesliga champions.

"We'll see, calmly and patiently, how the injured players can return. But I don't know."

Asked about other players stepping in when his star names are unavailable, Luis Enrique added: "What I think about the substitutes is that we won everything last year thanks to this type of substitute.

"They always trained well, played very well when needed. This year, it's the same thing."

Vitinha leads PSG's squad for assists in Ligue 1 this term, with seven, while he has created 34 chances.

He is now on four Ligue 1 goals this season, just one behind Nantes' leading scorer in the top flight, Matthis Abline (five goals).
