Luis Suarez's Juventus move could come down to his passport

Luis Suarez is close to sealing his Juventus move. The Italian side and the Uruguayan forward have an agreement virtually, although the move could be foiled by bureaucracy.

Gazzetta Dello Sport journalist Filippo Ricci says the Uruguayan cannot use the Italian passport of his wife to count as a non-EU player, something which is OK in La Liga. The reporter says in the Italian league he will need his own passport which means he might have to take a small exam before he gets it.

Journalist Mario Gago, of Onda Cero, meanwhile says that he might choose another way around. Suarez could opt for Spanish nationality, which takes around seven days to process, and he has lived here since 2014 which is long enough to get it.
