AUFTV interviewed M.Olivera, who spoke about his feelings regarding the Uruguayan team's preparations for the 2026 World Cup.

When asked if he expected so many children to be present, M.Olivera said: "Honestly, I didn't expect it, so many children came, but it's wonderful. Seeing the joy of these children and sharing such moments with them is very special. There are only a few days left until we depart, and seeing the children's anticipation is contagious."
Speaking about being seen as a role model by the children, M.Olivera said: "Of course, I can feel it. Seeing them play also motivates us to face the upcoming matches. You kind of see your past self; I was once like that too. It used to be unique to see national team players, and now I'm on the other side, seeing them so happy also brings back many memories."
Regarding his personal form and his mood before his second World Cup, M.Olivera said: "Yes, fortunately, everything is going well, and honestly, I'm very much looking forward to it. I hope it can start tomorrow, but we are still preparing, hoping to play a wonderful tournament, a wonderful World Cup. We will depart with full motivation."
When asked if he has been enjoying time with his family these past few days, M.Olivera said: "Yes, I had some barbecue with family and friends. I haven't seen them for several months, and it was much needed. I'm also enjoying everything about Uruguay."
When asked who made the barbecue, M.Olivera answered with a smile: "I made it over there. But you know he usually communicates with everyone a lot and always keeps everyone informed. It's true, I'm back to visit family now, so they are treating me very well."
Finally, M.Olivera said: "Go, Uruguay! Go, us! See you in a few days. Give it our all!"
