Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has previously been linked with a transfer to Real Madrid and the Argentina international has now posed in an iconic shirt

Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has posed in an iconic Zinedine Zidane Real Madrid strip in his latest social media post. The Argentine has shared a snap wearing the Frenchman's famous number five shirt amid transfer links with the Spanish giants.
Mac Allister has scored for the Reds in each of their last two wins over Los Blancos after Arne Slot's side got one over on their European foes in each of the last two Champions League League Phase campaigns. However, the Madrid club have been repeatedly linked with the midfielder after the World Cup-winner emerged as a key player for Liverpool following his move from Brighton & Hove Albion.
Liverpool are at a juncture under the Dutchman as the Premier League-winning tactician is under pressure to salvage their season following a failed title defence. Slot also faces an important summer window with the threat of losing Ibrahima Konate and Andy Robertson, as well as Mohamed Salah, as their contracts expire at the end of the campaign.
Ryan Gravenberch committed his future at Anfield but question marks loom over Dominik Szoboszlai and Mac Allister as the other two cogs in the Reds' midfield enter the final 18 months of their contracts on Merseyside. On Instagram, Mac Allister posed with his back to the camera wearing a designer Zidane shirt with the famous five brandished on the back as part of some of his activities in March.
Other pictures include him in action against Galatasaray and doing exercises throughout the month. Prior to the first leg against the Turkish giants, Mac Allister revealed that no contract talks had taken place.
He said: "First of all I want to congratulate Ryan [Gravenberch] because it is really good for him and he deserves it. He's been a really important player for us in the season that we won the Premier League, which is not easy at all.
"So congratulations to him. In terms of me, we are not in contract talks but I am not in a rush and that is only a fact."

The Real Madrid links have been frequent since Mac Allister continued his superb form from the Seagulls to Liverpool. However, his dad, Carlos, has previously been forced to speak out and dismiss the reports surrounding a move to the Spanish capital.
He told WinWinAllSports previously: "What I can say at the moment is that Alexis is focused on Liverpool and the current season. Alexis is very happy and very comfortable with Liverpool."
