Harry Maguire believes Marcus Rashford could be a "great asset" to Manchester United if he remains "driven and hungry".
Rashford made his first start for the club since December 2024 as United thrashed Ipswich Town 5-2 on Sunday, with Bruno Fernandes scoring a hat-trick.
The winger took four shots, the joint-third most for his side, while also creating three chances and winning seven of his 10 duels.
Rashford's future at United seemed to be in doubt after loan spells with Aston Villa and Barcelona, which came after he fell out of favour with former United boss Ruben Amorim.
The England international also hinted at favouring a permanent move to Barca, who chose not to activate a reported £26m option to buy, but is now set to fight for his place in Michael Carrick's squad.
"He's a great talent," said Maguire. "He's always a threat.
"If Marcus wants to be here, wants to work, wants to improve and help the team, of course we're willing to have him in the team.

"He could still do a lot more and I think he'll say he can do more, but if we keep him fit, keep him happy, and he keeps driven and hungry, he's a great asset to have.
"You've got to remember Marcus has had a wonderful career for this club.
"But when you play at this club for numerous years, there's going to be bad seasons, and when the bad seasons come, everyone piles on you. That's part and parcel of playing for this club.
"He's come back in, really fit and sharp and we're excited to have him."
United are next in action on Sunday, when they travel to Everton, while they host Sabah in the Champions League on September 10.
