Man United news: Klopp slams Jadon Sancho exit as Casemiro rejects transfer

Man United players have just jetted off for international duty and will hope to regroup stronger after ending their first three games with successive defeats - the last one being a 3-0 loss at home to Liverpool.

Some fans will still be optimistic of success this season after a string of impressive signings already, including young defender Leny Yoro, Dutch centre-back Matthijs de Ligt, PSG midfielder Manuel Ugarte and forward Joshua Zirkzee - with the new additions still needing time to settle in.

There's still talk of movements heading out of Old Trafford with a handful of clubs across Europe having extended periods before their transfer windows slam shut.

Mirror Football has rounded up all the latest news and developments around Old Trafford, including transfer reaction, rumours and gossip.

Klopp criticises United over Sancho exit

Former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is used to going toe-to-toe with Manchester United after nine years of plotting their downfall in the Premier League, but it appears he's not quite done with the rivalry after making a subtle jab over their decision to let go of Jadon Sancho.

The £73m England winger was loaned to Chelsea on deadline day with an obligation to buy after weeks of speculation, with the player unable to nail down regular first team football.

However, Klopp - who is currently without a club after leaving Liverpool in the summer - cannot understand why United and Ten Hag gave up on him so quickly.

"If the whole world loses trust and faith in the player, the manager has to be the one behind the player," he said prior to Sancho's deadline day switch. "I cannot just buy into that ‘he's useless,’ like other clubs did by the way - buying a player for £80 million and then sending him out on loan!"

Galatasaray's Casemiro deal hits snag

Casemiro is one Man United player who has found himself in the crosshairs this season after his performances were questioned in the club's defeats to both Brighton and Liverpool.

There has even been talk the Brazilian could be offloaded to Turkey - with the country's window remaining open until September 13 - and Galatasaray are reportedly mulling over a deal, according to the Times.

But a further report from Turkish outlet Turkiye Gazetesi has claimed Galatasaray agreed to loan the player - who then rejected their advances because he wants to fight for his place at United.

United "in the mix" for Rabiot

France midfielder Adrien Rabiot is still looking for a new club after leaving Juventus as a free agent - which may come as a surprise given his pedigree and quality.

However, according to TEAMtalk, United remain among the clubs who are "in the mix" to snap up the Frenchman - along with Newcastle and Galatasaray. Free transfers can be signed at any time, but must be registered before the Premier League resumes on September 13 - but that can only happen if clubs have space in their squad lists.

This week, France boss Didier Deschamps said the situation was "embarrassing" for Rabiot after failing to find a club and said he could not recall him to the squad until he found a new team.
