Manchester United are reportedly set to hand a new contract to a player whose deal was set to expire at Old Trafford, and Casemiro is a real admirer of them too
Manchester United have reportedly struck an agreement that will keep Tom Heaton at the club for a further season. United will be hard at work preparing for the upcoming campaign, which will see them strengthen their squad ahead of their return to the Champions League.
Heaton was brought to United in the summer of 2021, and while he has made just three appearances for the club, he has proved to be an influential figure in the dressing room thanks to his vast experience.
The goalkeeper's contract at United was due to expire this summer, and it appeared a real possibility that the 40-year-old would be heading out of Old Trafford when his deal reached its conclusion.
However, The Sun have reported that Heaton is expected to put pen to paper on a new contract to stay at United, with the agreement understood to run for a further 12 months.

Heaton penned a one-year extension to continue as a United player last summer as well, and it appears the shot-stopper could be doing exactly the same once more.
One player who will be departing United this summer is Casemiro, whose contract at Old Trafford is also set to expire, and who is not expected to commit to a new deal.
The Brazilian has previously highlighted the significant role Heaton plays within the squad, and why his presence is so invaluable. "He [Heaton] is very important. Very important for us," Casemiro said on Rio Ferdinand Presents YouTube channel.

"He pushes the training, he pushes in the game, of course, he doesn't play, but he pushes every time. For me, everyone needs this guy; he helps the room so much."
United are anticipated to have a hectic summer transfer window with plans already underway to bring fresh faces into their squad.

An agreement has already been reached to secure Atalanta midfielder Ederson, with a £38.8million package comprising a £35million upfront fee plus £3.8million in add-ons.
United are also continuing to be linked with signing another midfielder this summer, with West Ham star Mateus Fernandes a target.
It remains to be seen what additional business United will seek to complete this summer, with Michael Carrick preparing for his first campaign as the club's permanent manager.
