Manchester United midfielder Charlie Savage is set to complete a move to League One side Reading.
The youngster, who captained the Red Devils in their opening pre-season fixture against Leeds, will follow fellow academy graduates Zidane Iqbal and Ethan Laird out the door at Old Trafford this summer.
As with those cases, United will include an agreement to match any bid to buy him back as well as a sell-on clause.
The 20-year-old's sole senior appearances for the club came in the Champions League against Young Boys in December 2021.
He spent the latter half of last season on loan at Forest Green Rovers, featuring 15 times as the Green Devils made an immediate return to the fourth tier.
New Reading boss Ruben Selles is looking to rebuild after the Berkshire club suffered relegation from the Championship.
Savage had been sought after by fellow football league clubs but will now form part of what the ex-Southampton caretaker boss will hope will be a promotion worthy side.
The exact value of the deal as well as the midfielder's sell-on cause is unknown, though Erik ten Hag's side included a 40% clause in the deal that saw Iqbal join FC Utrecht last month.
