This is the hilarious moment a die-hard Manchester United fan splurged £200 on a City shirt signed by Sergio Aguero... just to rip it up!
Michael Cooney stunned onlookers as he tore apart the Argentine's jersey before stamping on it and using the star's strip to mop the floor.
The 37-year-old was at a charity auction in the Midland hotel in Manchester when he took his opportunity to get his revenge on the striker whose goal denied his side the title in 2012.
The clip has since gone rival and plenty of United fans were keen to show their approval, with one tweeting: “Sometimes the term legend is overused. However in this case.”
Another added: “Not all heroes wear capes.”
However, not all the comments were positive, with one more writing: “Just like how City wipe the floor with United on the football pitch.”
Michael later revealed that it didn’t matter what happened to the shirt because it was all for a good cause.
The auction was for a charity called ‘Layla’s Rainbow’, which was set up by Michael’s friend who had lost his six-year-old daughter to an unknown rare illness last year.
The organization hopes to raise funds and awareness into tackling the rare illness.
