Manchester United 'have made Borussia Dortmund's Jadon Sancho one of their main transfer targets for the summer but have turned down Barcelona's Philippe Coutinho.'
Former Manchester City academy graduate Sancho, 18, has made a stunning breakthrough in German football and the England international is now valued at around £100million.
According to The Independent, United are keen to strengthen their attacking options and have Sancho within their sights.
But the Old Trafford club aren't keen on ex-Liverpool star Coutinho even though intermediaries have contacted them to offer the Brazilian.
Coutinho, 26, has struggled for form at Barcelona this season and looks likely to move in the summer but United want players further forward.
United could face competition from Paris Saint-Germain for Sancho, who has scored nine goals and contributed 15 assists in the Bundesliga, Champions League and German Cup this season.
A £100m fee would see Sancho replace £54m Manchester City right back Kyle Walker as the most expensive Englishman in football, while it would put him fourth on the list of the world's costliest players — behind Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Philippe Coutinho.
Dortmund, however, have been delighted with Sancho's progress this season and want to keep him until 2020 at least. He is contracted to Dortmund until 2022.
