Emotions were reportedly running high at Vicarage Road as 10-man Manchester United capitulated against Watford, leaving Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on the brink of being sacked.

Manchester United players and staff were reportedly seen crying in the dressing room following their 4-1 defeat to Watford as the sack looms over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Reports suggest that the Red Devils players are now expecting the departure of the Norwegian boss following their dismal display at Vicarage Road on Saturday afternoon.

And it is understood some members of the United became overwhelmed as it is looks increasingly likely that it could be Solskjaer’s final game in charge, with a report from the Manchester Evening News claiming some were reduced to tears after the game.

The Norwegian cut a resigned figure on the touchline after watching side capitulate late on against Watford at Vicarage Road.

Solskjaer was already under immense pressure after a humiliating 5-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool at Old Trafford earlier this month.

His position was thought to be in grave danger when they were swept aside by Manchester City a week later, but Solskjaer survived the international period after the Man United board met to discuss his future.

However, he may not survive after their latest setback as various reports suggest the Man United hierarchy have scheduled an emergency meeting to discuss his future on Saturday evening.
