Manchester United have a lot of work to do when it comes to transfers this summer with a major decision set to be made over the future of Red Devils captain Bruno Fernandes

Manchester United face arguably the biggest summer in their history over the coming months. The Red Devils are in dire need of reinforcements after a miserable Premier League campaign.

But it could end up being a very tricky window given United’s difficult financial situation. Things might have been better had they won the Europa League against Tottenham - and thus sealed a spot in the Champions League.

Their defeat in Bilbao might force chiefs to look elsewhere for recruits, with funds set to be stretched. It might even force the club to cash in on some of their star players - with Bruno Fernandes among those to be at the heart of speculation.

With that being said, take a look at all of the latest transfer news and rumours from Old Trafford over the past 24 hours:

Ruben Amorim has remained tight-lipped on Bruno Fernandes’ future amid links with clubs in Saudi Arabia. Speaking ahead of this weekend’s finale against Aston Villa, he said: “The focus now is the last game.

"I don’t know what is going to happen. We have a plan, we were prepared for both situations – with Champions League and without Champions League.

“We have an idea of the type of squad we want but now we focus on the game because we still have the last game, and we have time to address all these situations.”

While United want Fernandes to stay at Old Trafford, club chiefs already appear to have set prices for a number of their wantaway stars including Alejandro Garnacho. According to the Daily Mail, the club want to receive around £60-70m for the Argentine forward.

They also want to bank around £40m for academy graduate Marcus Rashford. United could also lose millions on a number of flops should they leave the club over the coming months.

Rasmus Hojlund has a price tag of around £25-30m - a huge decrease on the £72m they signed him for. Meanwhile, United intend to receive around £25m for Brazilian wideman Antony.

On the topic of Rashford, Barcelona boss Hansi Flick has not attempted to hide his admiration of the England man. As quoted by The Athletic, he said: "Normally I don't want to speak about players that are not in my team, but of course both of them are fantastic players. I like them and we will see what happens -- but of course they are fantastic players."

Barcelona have been linked with Rashford in the past, while he looks unlikely to have a future at Old Trafford. The striker has been with Aston Villa since joining the Midlands side on loan in January.
