Roy Keane has returned to working Manchester United for the first time in nearly two decades as the club unveiled their new third kit.

Manchester United and adidas reveal their third kit for the 2023/24 season, which pays tribute to the club's rich history and its revered symbol – the red devil.

The club has once again collaborated with their official kit supplier to create a shirt that echoes the spirit of illustrious past. The design team delved deep into the Old Trafford archives and found inspiration in the jersey worn during the triumphant FA Cup-winning season of 1908/09.

The result is a striking ensemble that effortlessly stands out both on the terraces and on the pitch.

Embracing the design is a crisp cloud-white base, providing the perfect canvas for the new red devil emblem to take centre stage.

Complementing the elegance of the design are adidas's iconic three stripes which adorn each sleeve in white, harmoniously uniting the past and the present.

The ensemble is crowned with a bold red ribbed crew-neck collar, adding a touch of modernity to the timeless classic.

An adidas spokesperson expressed their enthusiasm for this remarkable creation, stating, 'With a history steeped in success, we have many Manchester United kits to take inspiration from.'

'For this season's third kit, the 1909 jersey was the catalyst for that inspiration – which also provided the perfect backdrop to amplify the club's famous identity – the red devil. This design is intentionally understated, taking its cues from present-day streetwear trends, with its cloud white background carefully chosen to let the red devil shine and inspire fire on the pitch.'
