Manchester United join race to sign Rennes’ Mohamed Kader Meité

Manchester United have joined the race to sign Stade Rennais centre-forward Mohamed Kader Meité (18), according to a report from Foot Mercato.

Kader Meité is garnering considerable interest this month after a first half of the season full of promise. He is the subject of an approach from Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal. The Saudi Pro League side are willing to pay €40m for the France youth international, and whilst Foot Mercato initially stated that he was “hesitant” to make the move to the Gulf State, the publication now reports that he has been asking questions about the league in recent days, a sign that he may be open to the move.

Al Hilal are looking to make quick progress and sign the player, as Manchester United have now joined the race. Kader Meité could move to Old Trafford this month, in the event that one of the forwards already at the club leaves.
