Jose Mourinho and his Manchester United stars have checked into the Lowry Hotel ahead of their Champions League clash with Sevilla just hours after a bomb scare in the city centre.
The Lowry was cordoned off earlier on Monday and a bomb disposal team was deployed following reports of a suspected World War II explosive being found on a building site.
However the scene was reopened after analysis found it was not a bomb and not dangerous.
Mourinho and his players arrived not long after the site had been given the all clear and looked in good spirits as they aim to reach the Champions League quarter-finals on Tuesday night.
Alexis Sanchez, David de Gea and Marcus Rashford were all snapped arriving at the five-star hotel in the heart of Manchester.
The players were greeted by a number of fans outside the main entrance as they looked focused on sealing progression at the expense of their Spanish opposition.
Paul Pogba has an outside chance of being involved at Old Trafford after he missed the Liverpool game on Saturday with a gashed leg.
The Frenchman was absent during the part of Monday’s training session observed by the media and entered the Lowry round the back along with Antonio Valencia, Chris Smalling and Luke Shaw among others.
Meanwhile, it could be a last Champions League occasion for Michael Carrick who has announced his intention to retire at the end of the season and join Mourinho’s coaching staff.
