Kalidou Koulibaly could well become the most expensive defender in history if he finally completes a move to Manchester United.
The Napoli defender has been touted as the man to solve the Red Devils' defensive woes for the best part of 12 months, with a world record bid reportedly being prepared.
However, it seems as though Senegal teammate Sadio Mane would not be best pleased if the move does finally go through.
The Liverpool forward has literally given the move a thumbs down while on international duty with the centre-half.
During an open training session for the African Cup of Nations qualifier against Madagascar, fans unveiled a banner portraying Koulibaly decked out in the Red Devils' colours alongside a simple message – 'Come to United'.
But instead of Koulibaly, it was Mane who walked over and gave the fans a thumbs down.
The 27-year-old is a key member of Carlo Ancelotti's team and, with captain Marek Hamsik joining Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang, is one of the most influential players in the Neapolitan side.
However, United have been linked with a move for a marquee centre-half for some time.
Although Mourinho failed to land any of his top targets, potential new boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may well be given funds to spend in the summer.
