Kylian Mbappé (24) once again responded to questions about his Paris Saint-Germain future, telling Téléfoot that he remains intent on representing Les Parisiens next season.
The France captain has been the centre of attention this past week. After sending a letter to the hierarchy at PSG, informing the club that he won’t trigger the one-year extension, rumours of an imminent departure have swirled. The Ligue 1 champions, faced with the threat of losing such a valuable asset for free next summer, are reportedly keen to see Mbappé this summer. Real Madrid, who missed out on signing the PSG forward last summer, are once again keen.
Whilst PSG’s preference is seemingly to sell Mbappé, that isn’t the desire of the player himself, who has stated on several occasions this week his intention to see out the remaining one year on his contract.
Speaking to Téléfoot ahead of France’s match against Greece on Monday, Mbappé reiterated his intention to remain at PSG. “I have already said before that I’d stay [at PSG]. I have only decided to play at PSG next season. Many things can happen in a year, especially at a club like PSG.” he said.
