PSG star Kylian Mbappe remains as one of the biggest talking points of the summer transfer window amid links to Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid
Kylian Mbappe has posted an update on his social media while Liverpool, Chelsea and Real Madrid battle for his signature. A departure from Paris Saint-Germain this summer became even more likely following the month of July concluding which also saw the deadline passed for him to active the option to extend his contract.
However, Mbappe refused to even enter talks with representatives of the club that flew into Paris to discuss a possible transfer. Since then, Chelsea and Liverpool have both begun exploring moves for the World Cup winner with the latter even entering talks with the Parisians.
As per a report by the Mirror, the Reds have enquired about taking Mbappe on loan for the upcoming campaign. However Jurgen Klopp has since dismissed the idea of Mbappe at Anfield: “We laugh about it. I can say that I think he’s a really good player, but the financial conditions don’t suit us at all,” Klopp told Sky Germany. I wouldn’t like to ruin the story now, but as far as I know, there’s nothing to it.”
Meanwhile, at Stamford Bridge a permanent transfer would be more likely with Chelsea exploring if they would have the funds to pull off a transfer.
While all this is ongoing, Mbappe appears to be remaining calm and has since posted to his Instagram story showing what he is currently up to. The image posted by Mbappe shows he is working with sponsors Nike in Paris with the location tagged as 'Poissy' which is a commune just West of the French capital.
Real remain the club most likely to sign Mbappe in the near future but a summer move being made by Carlo Ancelotti's men does not look set to happen. As per Daily Record, Los Blancos have not entered talks with PSG since Mbappe was made available for sale.
In their report it is also revealed that Chelsea are trying to pursue a player-plus-cash deal with talks ongoing. According to L'Equipe, PSG are expecting an offer to come from Chelsea for Mbappe after a phone call between Todd Boehly and Nasser Al-Khelaifi.
