Barca captain Messi has been criticized after their defeat at Santiago Bernabeu, but the French media claims that he played with an injury during El Clasico.
According to journalist Fred Hermel on the RMC radio, Messi has some reasons for not playing well in that match.
"I saw one of the worst Barca I've ever seen. Barca have only 15 players in the first team, it's impossible to succeed in La Liga and Champions League with only 15 players. Messi plays with knee pain. He plays 20% of his ability." said Fred Hermel.
