Milan 0-0 Samp: Zlatan back in worse team 7 years later as winless run continues

  /  R47

Milan are held to a goalless draw by Sampdoria at San Siro this afternoon in their Serie A clash. The final score is Milan 0-0 Sampdoria. Here is the match report.

Match Report

There is no response from the Rossoneri from their 5-0 hammering against Atalanta before the winter break.

Stefano Pioli men lacked a clinical edge in the final third, which even the introduction of Zlatan Ibrahimovic could solve. Rafael Leao missed their best opening of the game when he flicked his strike over the bar from close range.

However, Sampdoria will feel that they also could have snatched the three points as Manolo Gabbiadini was twice denied by Gianluigi Donnarumma, while Jakub Jantko saw a goal disallowed in the first half for offside.

The result leaves Milan in mid-table, while Samporia climb one place to 16th - two points clear of the relegation zone.
