Match Report
Tijjani Reijnders and Samuel Chukwueze both scored stoppage-time goals as AC Milan snatched an unlikely 3-2 win over Parma in Sunday's dramatic clash at San Siro.
Parma took the lead in the 24th minute through Matteo Cancellieri's strike from outside the area, though Christian Pulisic equalised with a penalty seven minutes before the break.
Enrico Del Prato put the visiting Parma back in front with just 10 minutes remaining, capitalising on a loose ball after Mike Maignan denied Drissa Camara.
Strahinja Pavlovic thought he had levelled late on, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside, but Reijnders made amends just minutes later.
The Milan midfielder was slotted in by Yunus Musah, keeping his cool to tuck past Zion Suzuki and level two minutes into additional time.
Late drama increased when substitute Chukwueze bundled home with his thigh from Pavlovic's downwards header in the 95th minute, sealing a remarkable turnaround for Sergio Conceicao's hosts.
The dramatic win moves Milan to sixth in the standings with 34 points, while Parma are 17th after managing 20 points in the 2024-25 campaign.
Data Debrief: Mighty Milan mount unlikely comeback
Milan seemed destined for back-to-back defeats in Serie A for the first time since a three-game run between January and February 2023, until this remarkable stoppage-time comeback.
The late home heroics mean Parma have now conceded 10 goals in the last 15 minutes of the second half, only Como (11) have conceded more in this season's competition.
Chukwueze's first goal in the league since mid-October proved decisive as Milan snatched a deserved victory, accumulating 2.69 expected goals (xG) to Parma's 1.77.
The defeat leaves Parma without a win in their last four league games, though the manner of this loss will have made the pain worse for Fabio Pecchia.
