Mourinho 'ready to step in if Zidane is sacked by Madrid'

Jose Mourinho is one of the most known names in the world of football. Since he was sacked by Manchester United in 2018, the Portuguese coach has taken some time away from the game as he considers his next move.

Right now, Mourinho can be found working as a pundit for the Premier League on British TV.

And whilst the Portuguese coach knows the Premier League, he's also keeping an eye on matters in Spain - most notably with Real Madrid.

Various media outlets in the Spanish capital claim Mourinho is ready to step into the dugout again should Zinedine Zidane fail to last the season in charge.

Mourinho hasn't been short of offers either but is apparently waiting for a big club and, for him, there's no one bigger than Real Madrid.

A lot of this speculation seems to depend heavily on whether Neymar ends up at the Santiago Bernabeu or not. If he does, the Brazilian could give the whole club a lift and push them on to better things.

If he doesn't and the situation worsens for Zidane, Mourinho is the man chosen to lead the team going forward.
