Mourinho's Roma debut in Europe with five-star showing

Jose Mourinho's Roma only know how to win so far this season, recording their sixth straight win of the campaign as they got their Europa Conference League journey off to the best possible start with a 5-1 win over CSKA Sofia.

The Bulgarian side took a shock lead early on as Irishman Graham Carey netted, but it was no more than a temporary setback for the Giallorossi.

Spain's Gonzalo Villar did well in midfield, bringing the intensity that Mourinho is demanding of his Roma side. That allowed them to overturn their deficit by half time with Lorenzo Pellegrini and Stephan El Shaarawy both getting themselves on the scoresheet.

Pellegrini got a second in the second half thanks to Riccardo Calafiori's work on the left. The scoring didn't stop there though. Gianluca Mancini and former Chelsea forward Tammy Abraham both bagged late on to put some added gloss on the scoreline.

Sofia played the final minutes of the game with 10 men after Yanic Wildschut was dismissed.
