Thomas Muller revealed he is open to returning to Bayern Munich in a management or leadership role after the end of his playing career.

After making his Bayern debut in 2008-09, Muller left the Bundesliga giants for the Vancouver Whitecaps in 2025.
Muller made 756 appearances for Bayern, the most of any player in the club's history, scoring 250 goals and providing 223 assists.
He won 13 Bundesliga titles with Bayern, as well as two Champions Leagues, six DFB-Pokals, four Franz Beckenbauer Super Cups, two UEFA Super Cups and two FIFA Club World Cups.
The 36-year-old is firmly focused on his playing career for the time being, but would not rule out a return to Bayern after retirement.
"In the long term, I don’t rule anything out," Muller told Bild.

"I can’t currently imagine that it will become relevant anytime soon. You can’t take on a leadership role at Bayern Munich on the side.
"As Uli Hoeness and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge have rightly said, you have to prepare for it intensively, gather various experiences beforehand, and then deliver.
"There are many thoughts. But my focus right now is on being a player. I still have a contract with the Whitecaps until the end of the year.
"If things continue to go as they have recently, I could imagine playing a bit longer. At the moment, however, it is still unclear exactly how and where things will continue with the Whitecaps."
