According to Mundo Deportivo, with left-back Nuno Mendes injured for Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League match against Barcelona, Lucas could be an option to defend against Yamal.

Former Barcelona player Lucas Digne would be a logical choice to replace Nuno Mendes on Paris Saint-Germain's left flank, as another pure left-footed full-back in Enrique's squad. However, it cannot be ruled out that the Asturian coach will redeploy left-footed center-back Lucas to that position, or have midfielder Zaïre-Emery play as a "false full-back," as Flick did with Esparta at Barcelona. Yamal's presence, however, favors the former two, more defensive options.
Safonov will start in goal, with Achraf and center-backs Zabarnyi and Pacho's positions secure. Beraldo, a center-back who has also played in midfield recently, also has a chance. After confirming Nuno Mendes' injury absence, Enrique received good news: winger Akliouche and midfielder Mayulu have both recovered from injury. Both previously injured players participated normally in the final training session on Monday and can be included in today's squad against Barcelona.
Interestingly, although neither of these two players is expected to start, both have troubled Barcelona in the Champions League. Akliouche, who joined Paris this summer, scored in Monaco's 2-1 victory over Barcelona at the Stade Louis II in September 2024. Mayulu scored in Paris's 2-1 victory at Spotify Camp Nou in October 2024. Both matches were in the league phase. Akliouche has strongly entered Paris's rotation as an alternative to wingers Doué and Kvaratskhelia, but more experienced wingers are expected to start in this match, with Dembélé playing as a "false nine." Mayulu is also expected to be a substitute, as Vitinha, Fabián, and João Neves are all available for midfield.
Enrique said a few days ago: "I like everything Akliouche does: the way he plays as a striker, winger, midfielder, his technical ability, physical quality, defensive contribution... I am very happy to have him."
