NAC Breda supporters have protested City Football Group's proposed takeover of their club outside the Etihad Stadium.
A minority of fans hung banners reading, 'stay out of our territory. NAC is not a City Group story,' at the stadiums of three CFG clubs across Europe to demonstrate unrest.
That included Manchester City, who have enjoyed a close relationship with NAC in recent years with a host of academy products heading to Holland on loan.
CFG are looking to solidify that partnership by adding the Dutch second division team to their stable of 10 clubs.
The move is being met with resistance by a small number of supporters groups. CFG, who expected strong views and possible opposition, are in dialogue with fan representatives about their vision for the club's future and believe there is an appetite for change.
The 'Breda Loco's' travelled to Manchester to protest, however, and said in a statement: 'City Group tries to take over the football world from Manchester, funded by a Sheikh with oil dollars from a country with a dubious view on human rights.
'This could be the blackest day in the history of NAC. We don't want to become a trading house for a Sheik and CFG. That goes against everything we stand for as NAC supporters and will damage the identity of the club.
'Troyes and Lommel have already fallen. We went to the stadiums of Manchester, Troyes and Lommel to make it clear that Breda will not be allowed in. We keep fighting. Stay out of our territory, NAC is not a city group story.'
