Paris Saint-Germain coach Christophe Galtier has been accused of making racist and Islamophobic comments during his time at OGC Nice in the 2021-2022 season. The accusations were found in emails sent by former sporting director Julien Fournier, and an investigation has been launched, with police conducting searches of OGC Nice’s emails.

Despite the allegations, Galtier has received support from several individuals, including Nantes coach Antoine Kombouaré. During a press conference, Kombouaré expressed surprise at the accusations and offered his support, saying, “I have only one wish today, which is to offer my support to Christophe and his whole family, what he is going through is horrible and terrible.”

Kombouaré added, “I am annoyed to see everyone talking and giving their opinion. So, I’m not going to say anything, just offer my support. I’m with you, Christophe, be strong and let justice do its job.”

In response to the allegations, Galtier stated, “I am deeply shocked by these comments that hurt me deeply. I am a child of diversity. My entire life as a man, footballer, and coach has been dictated by the concern for sharing and living well with others. I have therefore decided to take legal action against anyone who attacks my honor.”
