Neymar went to the Barcelona training center this morning to bid farewell to his teammates, before leaving without training, according to Spanish Media Mundo Deportivo.
After fulfilling several advertising commitments in Shanghai and a technical stopover in Doha, Neymar arrived in Barcelona yesterday but still made no statement about his future, all of which points to the direction of Paris Saint-Germain.
In the midst of rumours of his departure from Barca, the Brazilian striker went to the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper early Wednesday morning to bid farewell to the rest of his team-mates after the US pre-season tour. He was at the training ground for 43 minutes and left in his own car without training.
Neymar's move to PSG has become the transfer saga of the current window, surrounded by conflicting reports and assertions leaving his future unclear. The deal is now expected to be finalised before the end of the week, with all in place for a rapid final resolution of terms.
What is clear is that when the move does go through, he will become the world's most expensive player ahead of previous record holder Paul Pogba.
PSG are expected to meet the full cost of Neymar's €222 million release clause to force Barca into a sale, an outlay that dwarfs that which brought the French midfielder to Old Trafford.
Additionally, Neymar is reported to earn €30 million per year as the Ligue 1 side's new marquee name, with father Neymar Sr. said to be expecting his own €40m windfall as part of the deal.
