Brazil’s star footballer Neymar has given a big shock to his fans ahead of the FIFA World Cup. The 29-year-old striker has given a shocking statement about his retirement in a documentary.

He said, ‘I think this will be my last World Cup. I don’t know if I will be able to play mentally or not. But I will try my best to stay at that time also.

Neymar said, ‘I will do everything to win for my country and fulfill my dream. I hope I can do that.

Neymar will play for Brazil in World Cup qualifying against Colombia on Sunday. However, he did not play in the match against Venezuela on Thursday.

In such a situation, Neymar will return to the field for the first time after 10 September. PSG striker Neymar has scored 69 goals for Brazil so far and is close to Pele’s record 77 goals.

The Brazilian footballer has played two World Cups so far. In 2014, he suffered a back injury in the quarterfinals against Colombia, due to which he missed the semi-final against Germany.

Neymar won Brazil the Confederations Cup in 2013, after which he led the team to a gold medal at the Rio Olympics.
