Nottingham Forest have revived their bid to sign Arsenal left-back Nuno Tavares on loan.
Talks for the 23-year-old looked to have collapsed last week with Aston Villa then showing an interest.
However, Forest are now hopeful of getting a deal agreed for the former Benfica defender with an option to buy.
In what promises to be a busy few days for Steve Cooper's club, Corinthians defender Murillo is due in for a medical on Tuesday ahead of completing his £13.75m move.
Forest have made a £7m offer for Benfica goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos, who was among Manchester United's targets, and are in talks with Bologna over a swap that would see them bring in Nicolas Dominguez for midfielder Remo Freuler.
An offer has gone in for Leicester City's Wilfred Ndidi while Middlesbrough want to sign Lewis O'Brien on loan.
Forest expect an offer from Tottenham this week for £50m-rated Brennan Johnson that will also see them offered players in return.
Brentford had a £43million bid for Johnson rejected by Forest at the weekend. The Bees also offered add-ons and a sell-on clause but are now ready to rival Burnley for PSV Eindhoven winger Johan Bakayoko.
