German Football Association officially announced that Borussia Dortmund defender Anton has withdrawn from the current Germany squad due to a muscle problem. Germany coach Klopp has called up RB Leipzig defender Ridle Baku as his replacement for the upcoming Nations League matches against Serbia and the Netherlands.
Klopp called up Ridle Baku on Sunday for Germany's final two Nations League group stage matches, against Serbia and the Netherlands.
The 28-year-old RB Leipzig defender will travel to the national team's base in Herzogenaurach on Monday to join the squad. Germany will prepare for the two matches at adidas' Home of Sport training facility.
Ridle Baku has previously made 8 appearances for the Germany national team.
Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund defender Anton will not report for national team duty. The defender, who has 17 caps for Germany, was named in Klopp's 24-man squad announced on Thursday, but a muscle problem means he will miss the current training camp and both matches.
